Original Ayurvedic Ada Recipe: Dr. Varun Ram Raj
Ingredients:
- Ragi (Finger millet) flour – 4 tablespoons
- Ashwagandha powder – 1/2 teaspoon
- Shatavari powder – 1/2 teaspoon
- Jaggery – 2 teaspoons
- Grated coconut – 2 tablespoons
- Ghee – 1 teaspoon
- Cardamom – a pinch
- Water – as needed to make a thick batter
Note:
Ashwagandha and Shatavari are Rasayana herbs known to support stamina, strength, and reproductive health in men. Adjust the quantity of herbs as per your body type (Dosha). Always consult a doctor before long-term use of any herbs.
Preparation:
Mix ragi flour, Ashwagandha, Shatavari, jaggery, coconut, and cardamom in a bowl. Slowly add water to form a thick, smooth batter. Heat a flat pan and add a little ghee. Pour a ladle of batter and spread gently like a pancake. Cook on low flame until both sides are well done and slightly crisp.
This nutrient-rich Ayurveda Ada is ideal for breakfast or evening snacks. Regular use, should be done under guidance.
